Ambit Energy - Power disconnected two times the three days after receiving bill in the mail then slapped with $125 deposit
Twice my power was disconnected three days after I received my bill in the mail. Post office issues (that was my first thought).
The second time I went on line and looked at my balance it was over a hundred dollars due to all the fees they slap on. So I pay the balance and the reconect fee and after a week of sleeping in a 90 degree house still no power.
Food spoiled in fridge (another story) I call them they say oh we added a $125 deposit. My contract was up so I switch to Reliant (I have two other houses with reliant and never had these issues) and then I get a bill in the mail for $136 which is the deposit plus fees.
Reason of review: Problem with delivery.
Monetary Loss: $250.
Ambit Energy Cons: That they are thieves, Deceptive tactics, Customer service, Disgraceful, Service.
Location: Houston, Texas

Ambit Energy cannot turn off your power. They are the supply side of the electric bill. The company that delivers and bills you for your electricity is the one who shut off your power for non payment.
